"The film details the role of the R.C.M.P. in Canadian law enforcement, its methods, and its training procedures. Beginning with the Fort Walsh installation in 1875, a short history of the force is given. The Regina and Rockliffe schools are visited and each step of training is explained. A long cross-Canada scenic sequence follows, used to illustrate the varied postings available to R.C.M.P. officers in Canada. The film also covers the Marine section, the work of the St. Roch and Arctic detatchments, as well as modern methods of crime detection, including fingerprinting and the forensic lab in Ottawa. Footage includes short clips of a royal visit, President Truman and Winston Churchill. 'Scenic' sequence contains footage of most major Canadian tourist attractions across the country."

"The Force in 1947. RCMP Divisions across Canada are visited and training at 'Depot' Division Regina and 'N' Division Rockcliffe is emphasized."
