"Documentary film on the supply and transportation of oil. By giant pipeline, by tanker and tank car, oil comes from north and south America to meet Canada's varied needs. Shown is the laying of underground pipeline, pushed through many obstacles, and bent by huge machines to fit ground contours. Long trains of oil-cars, bringing crude oil across the Canadian border are shown. Visiting the South American oil sources, glimpses of jungle life and Spanish atmosphere form a background to modern industry. From the oil-fields of Venezuela, ocean-going tankers bring their cargoes of crude oil northward to Canadian ports. A tanker is shown weathering a rolling Atlantic storm."
