"Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company of Canada Limited plant, built in 1896, is depicted at Trail on the banks of the Columbia River, British Columbia. It was here that a bitter labour dispute began in 1918 which culminated in an one-day general strike in Vancouver and outlying districts. Excellent coverage of miners at work, of one train carrying material from Kimberly to Trail and the complete story of refining the material at the Trail smelter."
