"In this program designed for high school audiences Bob McAdorey and two Toronto students discuss smoking and health. Dr Donald Thompson, pathologist at Toronto General Hospital, shows a series of slides detailing the changes in condition of lung tissues that occur in relation to length of cigarette smoking and amount smoked. He also shows documentation of cancer growth as result of chronic irritation in breath passages. Dr Robert Taylor, Canadian Cancer Society, discusses diseases other than cancer which are related to smoking. The program concludes with the question 'Why do young people begin smoking?' and a brief look at cigarette advertising."
