"Collective bargaining is the process by which management and union representatives determine the wages, benefits, hours and working conditions for an organized group of employees. To produce this series, an existing contract which was expiring within four months was selected as a starting point for bargaining. Experienced negotiators from labour and management were assigned to various roles. Both sides were to go in and negotiate the best possible agreement."
