"It was built against an attack that never came, but the guns still boom and the guards still march outside the massive stone walls of old Fort Henry, at Kingston, Ontario. This film portrays life in the Fort and in the neighbouring settlement as it was during the late 19th century. It describes the strategic role the Fort was designed to serve (but never did) as well as the Rideau Canal and locks system to Ottawa."
