"A tribute to HMCS Haida, the Royal Canadian Navy and their work in World War Two growing from a small force to the 3rd largest navy in the world. Vice Admiral H.G. Harry DeWolf is interviewed aboard the restored Haida and talks about the 10th Destroyer Flotilla. William Puglsey's fine wartime footage illustrates duties and shipboard life. Other highlights include convoys St. John's and Iceland, storm damage to HMCS Saguenay, naval infantry assault training, Whale Island Royal Navy Gunnery School, HMCS Naden, Canadian establishments in wartime London and HMCS Haida, Huron, Prince Henry, Restigouche, Otter, Sherbrooke, Kamsack, Saguenay and Canadian motor torpedo boats at speed. HMS Duke of York and HMS Victorious are also seen with visits by King George VI, General Bernard Montgomery and Admiral Sir Bruce Fraser, Commander in Chief Home Fleet."
