"Documentation of an exotic family vacation in the high arctic. The father is a naturalist and spends his time observing and filming various wildlife. Excitement is provided for the family when they are caught in a two-day windstorm with 60 mph gusts. In addition, they find themselves stranded when their aircraft suffers damage during landing and they are forced to make an eighty mile trip by dog sled back to civilization. Also shown are scenes of a native seal hunt and of an official polar bear count in which an individual bear is drugged for tagging and enumeration. In the final scene a herd of walruses sun themselves on a rock."
