"The film looks at the symptoms associated with a catatonic type of schizophrenia. In this film Dr. Heinz Lehmann interviews three male patients suffering from stuperous catatonia. Each patient is interviewed separately and responds to the doctor's questions with mumbled responses and little physical motion. When left alone, the patients sit motionless."
