"Film looks at two different types of severe depression, agitated and retarded. In this film Dr. Heinz Lehmann interviews two female patients suffering from depression. At one time the first patient had been a happy, active housewife and was suddenly struck with depression which slowed her activities and thinking considerably. The second interviewee's depression was brought upon by an unbearable life situation. Each of these patients suffers from either the agitated or the retarded form of depression."
