"This film uses footage of the 1976 Olympic Volleyball competition to show volleyball techniques and tactics. The game moves quickly, and each team moves from attack to defense after the service reception. Only the team with the serve can score points with a sideout. Court areas and the W formation is explained, and the important position of the setter is discussed. Arm positions for sets, spikes, rallies and blocks are shown. Various attack combinations and manoeuvres such as the corner attack, as well as deceptive manoeuvres, are shown. Sets may include front, back, quick, high, and open, and attacks and blocks may be done in tandem. Net faults should be avoided. Both sixup and sixback defenses are shown. Teams need to work together well, and be able to recover quickly. Games showing both good and bad teamwork are seen."
