"This film traces the establishment and actions of wives supporting the strike during the 1978 strike by Local 6500 of the United Steelworkers against INCO in Sudbury. This is a true story. It's a moving, close-up documentary of women in Sudbury who come out of their kitchens and claim their husband's work as their own during the 1978 Inco strike which lasted for 10 months. As the women become increasingly involved in the strike, they question more and more their traditional supportive role."
