"Emotional regression is a part of all illness from a cold to a psychosis and since emotions are contagious, the hospital staff needs to learn controls that will prevent their feeding back the patient's negative emotions and further contaminating the illness. The film is in story form - it shows the difficulties a young nurse has in dealing with a psychopathic patient. Based on the teaching concepts of Dr. H.E. Lehmann, Clinical Director of Douglas Hospital, Montreal, this film examines an area which is as yet not commonly taught in medical and nursing training."
