"Documentary film highlighting a canoe trip up the Hamilton River to Grand Falls, the Unknown River, and Yale River, and featuring the natural resources of the Labrador interior, central to the Labrador boundary dispute being waged between Quebec and Newfoundland. Included are shots of the coast of Labrador; the Northwest River Post; Nascopie Indians and a missionary, and children playing. The men, Frissell, a peer and two trapper guides begin their trip for Grand Falls and the Unknown River, overcoming rapids, portaging, camping, fighting the Hamilton River, portaging around Bowdoin Canyon and Grand Falls, the Upper Hamilton River, and reaching the 316-foot high Grand Falls. Also included are shots of Bowdoin Canyon; the Unknown River (Grenfell River); and Yale Falls."
