"This film describes the salvage operation carried out by the Foundation Company of Canada in the St. Lawrence River between May - October 1960. On May 5 1960, an ocean bound freighter collided with the much smaller ship - Federal Express, and sunk it. Detailed footage (both live action and animation), show how the salvage operation was carried out. The job was completed on October 14, 1960, before winter freeze up."
