"The basis of motion in many machines, the four-bar mechanism is examined here. An example of its use in a small printing press is shown. The equivalent motion is then shown in kinematic (or line) drawings. Velocity and acceleration are schematized, with their appropriate equations indicated; animation of the line drawings illustrates a single cycle; velocity is examined, and then acceleration. The film concludes with a simultaneous look at acceleration and velocity variations, shown in kinematic drawing and then plotted on graphs."
