"A pictorial reconstruction of the long-vanished way of life of the Ojibway Indians. In this film care has been taken to interpret as faithfully as possible the ancient Indian culture of this tribe and to record the life they led before the white man reached North America. The film depicts, among other activities, the gathering of wild rice and the building of birch-bark canoes."
