"A good straightforward description of the daily activities of a Canadian newspaper. Opening scenes show people reading headlines about a local fire. The narrator suggests that we discover how this particular edition of the newspaper came into being. Shots of the fire in question are shown together with the those of newspaper reporters gathering information; they telephone this to the city desk and from thence we follow step by step the various operations that take place until the paper is delivered to a subscriber's house."
